Jag tar tillbaka det jag tidigare sagt om uppräkningarnas tid. Den är fortfarande nu. Det är kväll och det regnar. Tog en höstpromenad längs kanalen nyss iklädd tweed och lyssnar nu till Georges Brassens Best Of, känner mig behaglig. Har varit lite trött i huvudet de senaste dagarna, jag behöver nog sova mer. Har fortsatt att utveckla mitt waterfrontprojekt; The Integrity Cocoon - a Swedish Raft. Någon kokong är det väl inte frågan om, i alla fall ingen synlig. Men den finns där under vattnet, elastisk och transparent. Ovanför; en plattform, bestående av ett lapptäcke av oregelbundna naturkorkplattor (eller återvunna sammansmälta vinkorkssjok för att få det lite sustainable). En horisontell plattform är det i alla fall frågan om, helst flytande, att placera i den exotiska typologin "en svensk skogstjärn" (för min del). Det hela handlar om den nödvändiga spänningen exponering/naturupplevelse vs. integritet/självkännedom/fysik/reflektion. "Och allt han lyckats åstadkomma är ett sönderskuret värmeunderlägg med latexundersida". Mmm.

Det är väl lika bra att ni får se uppgiften, formulerad av professor Curulli. Lägg märke till den (konceptuellt) röriga meningsuppbyggnaden:

‘Escaping from the daily routine’

Noises, rushing time, distractive inputs,….influence our life in the city; to find a space for our individuality is, very often, a struggle and a dream.

Green parks are usually considered places of isolation and peace, but are these sites the only one?

Water and its perceived ‘infinity’ can offer us a quite place for a relaxed state of mind….

Imagine that :

• you can take a few things, precious to you, and …

• go to live on a floating shelter…

• you will be ‘floating’ for a short time

• water (salty or sweet) will be your closest landscape, your mirror and source of life…

Finally, you will experience quietness and pleasure of doing whatever comes to your mind.

Requirements

•Program: design proposals should shelter 1 or 2 persons

•Islander (user): the student him/herself and…

•Location: coastline, river or lake to be found in the student’s city/country of origin.

•Materials: a floating platform and 3 materials on student’s choice; dimensions are up to the student

Results

•3 images maximum (make a powerpoint presentation) indicating location and concept of design

•1 model: student will choose materials and scale of representation.
